Your shop in mid-2000s Tokyo runs on a simple loop: take orders, fix devices, deliver, and get paid. The way you manage that loop determines how fast you grow. Start by accepting a few basic console cleanings, then add more complex repairs as your skills improve. Keep your workshop clean and organized Clean Job achievement proves that a tidy bench is a profitable one.

  • Accept every email order you feel confident about, but don't overload your bench. A backlog of unfixed devices slows your cash flow.

  • Buy a box of parts(the Lootbox achievement) when your inventory runs low; they also feed the Frugal achievement when you stop buying individual parts.

  • End your day only after all repairs are done. The Akiba never sleeps! achievement requires 7 days without manually ending the day, so plan your schedule around that.

  • Pay your bills on time every month. The All bills paid! achievement needs just 2 payments, but ignoring them triggers the Bankrupt overdue warning and hurts your funds.

Don't let broken parts pile up on your desk. Investing in a shredder early clears your workspace, earns the Shredder achievement, and makes room for more profitable repairs.

Repair, cleaning, and hacking tips

The core repair loop is all about diagnosing, cleaning, and fixing. Each tool you unlock changes how you handle orders, and the achievements nudge you toward using every trick in the book.

  • Use the soldering iron on any broken part to unlock How did I do this?

    • it's the first step toward mastering repairs and a permanent skill boost.

  • Remove dirt and dust from 100 parts for Big cleaning! and from 1000 parts for Galactic cleaning!. Always clean before diagnosing deeper issues.

  • Buy the automatic ultrasonic bath when you can afford it. It earns Hands Free and saves hours of manual scrubbing, letting you take on more orders per day.

  • When a device needs a reprogram, do it immediately.Hacking 101 unlocks your first reprogram, and 25 repograms give you 11001.

  • For the Jack of all trades achievement, wait for an order that combines painting, cleaning, repair, and hacking. These composite orders are rare but extremely rewarding.

Keep a stash of common stickers. The Instant Cool-er(25 stickers) and Sticker Bombing(100 stickers) achievements are easy to miss if you never apply stickers, so stick them on every custom order you enjoy.

Money, licenses, and workshop upgrades

Money is the lifeblood of your shop, and licenses are the key to unlocking higher-paying contracts. The Official Partner achievement requires buying any license, and each one unlocks a new category of devices or services. Your goal should be to acquire 5 licenses for Golden Partner and eventually all of them for Platinum Partner.

  • To earn 100,000 yen in a single day for Business Shark, stack multiple high-value repairs before opening and avoid spending during that session.

  • The Millionaire! achievement asks for a lifetime total of 1,000,000 yen. Reinvest profits in upgrades, but keep a healthy buffer for bills and emergencies.

  • The Frugal achievement is a real challenge: go 10 days without buying any new parts. Use boxes of parts and salvage from trade-ins to survive.

  • Buy the most expensive license only when you have cash to spare - it unlocks the absurdly named Are you serious? This is absurd! achievement.

  • Save up for workshop upgrades that make you money, like the shredder and the ultrasonic bath. They cost more upfront but pay off through faster workflows.

Customers, email orders, and reviews

"Talk to customers, hear their stories, and see how your decisions impact both their lives and your shop."

Customers are more than walking wallets. Their reviews determine your reputation, and your choices affect their lives. Treat them well, and they'll keep coming back with more interesting devices and bigger repair jobs.

  • Email orders are a steady income source. Accept your first for Master of the Internet, then complete 25 for WWW and 100 for Internet Business.

  • Helping a child out for free unlocks the Origami achievement and builds goodwill. Sometimes a small loss is worth the review boost.

  • Aim for 5, 25, and 50 reviews to earn First reviews!,Getting popular!, and Best shop in Akiba!. High-quality repairs are the fastest way to inspire customer reviews.

  • Applying stickers to devices counts toward Instant Cool,Instant Cool-er, and Sticker Bombing. Make it part of every custom paint job to stack progress naturally.

Achievement and long-run tips

Long-term success in ReStory is measured in days, not just yen. The game tracks your progress across 30, 90, and 365 days, so pace yourself and keep a consistent workflow to hit those long milestones.

  • Play through 30 days for Employee of the Month,90 days for Quarterly Report, and 365 days for Akiba Feels Like Home.

  • Enter every device assembly competition you can find. One win earns Promise of Akiba, three different events give Star of Akiba, and winning with each device type secures Legend of Akiba.

  • The marketplace is your source for cheap devices. Buy 5 for Flipper and 25 for Garage sale!, then repair and resell them for profit.

  • Sell a total of 5 devices for Making money!

    • track your sales early so you don't miss this easy achievement.

  • Don't ignore custom painting orders. The first one unlocks Custom orders available!, and they tend to pay well for the extra effort.
